About Me

Throughout my life, I have been attuned to the vibrant signals our bodies express, and the ways those expressions can guide us to create a fulfilling partnership with ourselves. From a very early age, I learned about the body by reading, witnessing conscious healers in my community, and listening to my body. My desire to learn more led me to study Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport. During my studies and personal healing journey, I began to understand and experience the vital role our constitutions, cultural history, nutrition, environment, and habits play in affecting our well being. In 2000, I stepped away from higher education to focus on welcoming an amazing child into this world. After her birth, I served as Executive Director of St. Claude Avenue Main Street, leading my family’s cafe business, acting as a Geospatial Analyst at Northrop Grumman, and coaching individuals in their health journey. Because I studied medicine that examined health from a root cause perspective, I noticed this method was valuable in creating possibility and growth everywhere. I started to integrate root cause approach along with mindfulness in designing practices and policies to support clients from lifestyle changes to strategic planning.

As a Mindfulness Coach, I facilitate a loving process of diving deep into personal and organizational structures to provide support and insight through mindful practices. I integrate a holistic approach which looks at well being, structures and habits from a root cause perspective. This approach begs us to look at why we are experiencing symptoms, break downs, growth and/or vibrancy in our lives and organizations. We then get to choose if we want to continue on our current path or make changes. When partnering with individuals and organizations, I notice that there are more similarities than differences. With individuals, I use yoga and other forms of movement, breathwork, journaling, visualization, nutrition analysis and brain rewiring techniques. Because organizations are made up of human beings, I use the same modalities with the addition of reviewing policy & procedures and assessing management and employee relationships to co-create structures that are in alignment with the organization’s mission and values that include everyone. By participating in mindful practices, we can develop the tools that support asking challenging questions, listening without judgement and looking within.

Part of my practice is dedicated to offering healing techniques that include and focus on the healing of Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC). I am passionate about creating brave spaces for people to show up and lovingly work on trauma collectively. My work is grounded in liberation, connection and transformation of the human experience.
