About Me

I’m Kina B. Joshua, a native New Orleanian from the Lower 9th Ward, and creativity has always been a guiding thread in my life. From a young age, I felt the call to make things with my hands, to bring beauty and meaning into the everyday. Today, I channel that energy into handcrafted leather goods—from handbags and cuffs to toddler moccasins and even pieces for your altar.

For me, making leather goods is my meditation. With a background in mindfulness, naturopathic studies, and indigenous practices, I take a holistic approach to life and craft. What I learn on the yoga mat flows into my studio practice, grounding me in presence, rhythm, and intention.

I see my work as wearable art—an expression of the goddess within, created to inspire connection and empowerment. Self-taught, with guidance from a dear friend who patiently supported me over the phone with techniques, I’ve built a practice rooted in resilience, creativity, and love.

My leatherwork is more than design—it’s about building community and honoring traditions while creating something vibrant and new. You can find me at local and national markets and festivals, sharing pieces that carry story, spirit, and soul.
